Researchers at the Clearinghouse are working to increase evidence-informed policy discussions with stakeholders to aid them as they make decisions that could improve life outcomes for military veterans in the Commonwealth. Clearinghouse researchers analyze data regarding veterans’ needs and potential solutions to those needs, create data-driven policy recommendations, and actively disseminate these recommendations to key stakeholders. Moreover, Clearinghouse researchers are using literature reviews and examinations of peer-state best practices to assess how data can be used to guide and improve how Pennsylvania provides services and programs to veterans. In addition, researchers are exploring opportunities to attract and retain veterans in the Commonwealth through employment prospects that could benefit Pennsylvania’s economy and veterans. The Clearinghouse strives to be a trusted resource regarding evidence-informed veterans’ policy in Pennsylvania by providing data analysis, research support, and knowledge-based solutions to legislators and state officials.
